Updates

I'm thrilled to report that James got his homecoming after all. For the first time in history, American Idol has allowed the fourth place finisher to have their homecoming day. The footage won't be shown on Idol, but that's not the important part. I'll post articles and pictures hopefully tomorrow. An estimated 30,000 people were on hand for James' mini concert with the White Ensemble at the Santa Cruz boardwalk. James sang at least three songs: "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow," "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," and "Don't Stop Believin." Santa Cruz showed James the love. I am SO happy for him!

And that isn't all that Mr. Durbin has been up to. On Friday night he joined the Tonight Show band and sang songs that he performed on the show. He was also a guest on "Good Day LA" and "Access Hollywood," and he gave brief interviews by satellite to several FOX affiliates.

He'll be a guest on "Regis & Kelly" on Monday. He told Jay Leno it will be his first trip to the Big Apple.
